David Courtenay is a fantastic Wildlife Photographer friend of mine. While this is
a great picture of him shooting a very close up of a Yosemite Valley Mule Deer,
his website shows that his talent is a big notch above mine.
Preparing to climb a mountain as high as
Mt Shasta in California (14, 162') takes
more preparation than to visit REI. I tried to

The "Great Outdoors" in the United States of America belongs to all Americans, not just to organizations that think they
promote it. Just as hunters pay generous fees to keep our country's wildlife abundant, Off highway vehicles pay fees to
use public lands. I used this article as my platform to promote the Tread Lightly organization. It was designed by a US
Forest Service Ranger and adopted by the US Forest Service in 1985 to address concerns regarding increased use of
our outdoor resources by vehicles. It is now a private non-political, non-profit group aimed at educating the public with
the hope of keeping our national resources open to all.
